On 31 August, in the library of a swank Arlington, Virginia condo complex, Jennifer Soden, a member of our Advisory Board and Faith Chamberlain, Project Moldova Treasurer, hosted a wine tasting fundraiser attended by more than 50 people. The highlight of the evening was a tasting and sale of Moldovan wines from three wineries, and an enjoyable travelogue and discussion of the geography, history, and politics of Moldova that went with each particular wine...

Our guide for the evening was Dimitrii Cubert of Nice Legs Wine Imports, and a native of Moldova. Complimenting the wines were an array of fine hors d’oeuvres and cheeses. During an intermission in the tasting, Dr. Coots, President of Project Moldova, made a short presentation on the history of Project Moldova and the current programs serving more than 3000 children. The presentation was well received, with all present thoroughly enjoying themselves, and at the end of the evening, the event raised more than $2000! Our thanks to all in attendance!!!
